MY AUS VISA — PRIVATE NEW-PASSPORT VISA CHECKLIST
Reviewed: 27 September 2026

Keep passport numbers and visa references on your own device. This is not a change-of-passport form.

[ ] Identify the visa or pending application and the passport it currently uses.
[ ] If it is an ETA (subclass 601), check the official ETA page: a new passport means a new ETA application in the official app. The earlier ETA cannot be transferred.
[ ] For another visa or pending application, open the Home Affairs new-passport page and check whether ImmiAccount Update details > Change of passport details is available.
[ ] If an exception on that page applies, use its New Passport Details web form instead of the ImmiAccount change.
[ ] Save the submission acknowledgement. Allow for the currently published linking time and recheck the official page if travel is near.
[ ] If you hold an in-effect visa, verify its current details and conditions in VEVO. VEVO does not show every visa that is not yet in effect.
[ ] Compare the grant notice, new passport and itinerary. Bring any expired passport or travel document still linked to the visa as the official border page advises.
[ ] Check each accompanying traveller separately. A passport update for one person is not an update for the whole family.
