MY AUS VISA — PRIVATE FIRST WORK AND HOLIDAY 462 BALLOT PLANNER
Reviewed: 27 September 2026

For a first-462 applicant using a PRC, Indian or Vietnamese passport. Keep the completed copy and any identity numbers on your own device. This is not a Home Affairs form or a visa eligibility decision.

1. IDENTIFY MY REGISTRATION
[ ] Check the passport country used for the ballot: PRC / India / Vietnam.
[ ] The 2026–27 ballot registration closed on 25 June 2026. I registered during the official window; if not, I will check Home Affairs for a future window rather than trying to lodge without selection.
[ ] Keep my Registration ID, passport and national identity document available privately. The ID details must match the official registration and application instructions.
[ ] If using an Indian passport, use a valid PAN card, not an Aadhaar card. If using a Vietnamese passport, use a valid 12-digit national ID card, not an old 9-digit card.

2. CHECK SELECTION AND THE DEADLINE
[ ] Read my ImmiAccount registration status and the email account used when registering. A registration is not a selection.
[ ] If selected, read my own selection notice. Home Affairs gives 28 calendar days after notification, ending at midnight AEST on day 28; use the notice for the actual due date. If I turn 31 sooner, the age deadline can be earlier.
[ ] The 2026–27 random-selection window can run until 30 April 2027. The lack of a selection email is not an invitation to apply.
[ ] A selection lets me lodge; it does not establish that I meet all visa criteria or guarantee a grant.

3. BEFORE STARTING THE VISA APPLICATION
[ ] Read the first-462 visa page for my passport, age, prior Working Holiday Maker history and no-accompanying-dependent-children rule.
[ ] Confirm I am outside Australia when applying and will remain outside when Home Affairs decides the first-462 application.
[ ] Check the current education, functional-English, funds, health, character and document instructions. The official first-462 page does not list a government-support letter for PRC, Indian or Vietnamese passport holders.
[ ] Prepare a copy of both sides of my valid national ID card for the National Identity Document (other than Passport) attachment. My ID details must match my registration and visa application.
[ ] Translate non-English evidence under the first-462 page’s rules. Keep private copies of everything submitted.

4. LODGE AND FOLLOW UP
[ ] Use the official selection instructions and Registration ID in ImmiAccount. Check every answer and attach the required evidence before paying the charge shown there.
[ ] Keep the transaction reference and monitor ImmiAccount for biometrics, health, character or other requests.
[ ] Wait for the written decision before booking travel or work. If granted, read the first-entry deadline and work and study conditions.
