Germany police-certificate starting checks

The police guide now explains the German Certificate of Conduct starting routes for residents and people abroad, including online identification and postal certification checks. Germany residence plans link to the help. The issuer finder includes Germany and a direct link to Australian AFP checks.

Follow the current official application instructions

Our twelve overseas examples help you find an issuer when a certificate is required by your visa instructions. The Germany addition links to Home Affairs, the Federal Office of Justice and the German federal service portal.

France police-certificate starting checks

The police guide now includes France's Bulletin nº 3, the official issuer route, birthplace and identity checks, and the confirmation step. Relevant France residence plans and their editable checklists link to the help. These are preparation-guide improvements, not a new certificate requirement for every visitor.

Start with your actual visa instructions

The index now has eleven country examples. The France addition links to Home Affairs and the French issuer; it does not collect identity documents, promise a processing time or decide whether you need a certificate.

Further Student applications: packages and intake dates

The course-change guide now explains Home Affairs' course-packaging limits for eligible onshore applicants, the one-future-course restriction for course progression and qualified next-intake timing guidance. This is an explanation added to our guide, not an announcement of a new visa rule.

Check every future enrolment before lodging

The new section links to the official instructions and suggests a private record of course completion, AQF levels, future enrolments and intake dates. It retains the guide's earlier full-review date and dates this addition separately.

Corrections after grant and two more police issuer examples

The correction guide now explains the continuing incorrect-information duty after visa grant, separately from later changes. Its printable record and editable worksheet pack are updated. Police-certificate help now includes Bangladesh and Nepal, with ten country examples in total. These are guide improvements, not new visa rules.

ORIGINAL ERRORS · AFTER A VISA GRANT

A grant does not remove the correction question

The guide now points directly to Form 1023’s after-grant explanation and distinguishes it from Form 1022’s later-change timing. The pre-travel guide and official-form entry link to this help. Both private correction downloads carry the same distinction, including the updated copy in the free worksheet ZIP. Read the current official instructions and obtain authorised case-specific help about individual consequences.

BANGLADESH AND NEPAL · CONDITIONAL POLICE EVIDENCE

Check the citizenship and residence category before ordering

Two new issuer examples summarise Home Affairs’ country entries. Bangladesh help compares four citizenship/residence routes; Nepal help separates resident citizens, citizens abroad and non-citizens. Relevant residence plans and the two passport guides link to these notes. They are starting checks, not complete issuing procedures or a decision that a police certificate is required.

Withdrawal form, child checks and printable police planning

The withdrawal guide now separates child-authority checks from adult signatures, and Resources can find official Form 1446. The police guide has eight country issuer examples and a free three-page printable planning record. These are preparation-guide improvements, not new visa rules.

WITHDRAWAL · FAMILY AND FORM ROUTES

Check who is included before sending a request

New source-linked child guidance explains the authority checks and Form 1446 signature instructions separately. Resources now includes an official Form 1446 entry with links back to the application-channel and child guidance. A form-number search opens those instructions rather than an unexplained government PDF. The full withdrawal guide review date remains unchanged.

POLICE CERTIFICATES · PRIVATE PREPARATION

Keep country checks and follow-up together

The guide now has eight issuer examples, including the Philippines and Ireland alongside Canada, India, Pakistan, South Africa, the UK and the US. A three-page printable record complements the existing editable text worksheet: record your actual instructions, country and name history, issuer questions, delivery arrangements and follow-up privately. Download without joining an email list. Use your own visa instructions and requests to decide which checks apply.

Local preparation, police checks and student worksheets

Residence guidance now includes additional regional mission notes across Europe and West and East Africa, alongside Mauritius, Timor-Leste and Mongolia. The Spanish Spain guide and worksheet now carry the unresolved first-462 education-source caution. The transit guide highlights the Dili-Darwin connection check. Police-certificate help now has six country examples and a private issuer follow-up worksheet. Free Templates separates official Home Affairs forms from blank worksheets and searches both, alongside its six student preparation shortcuts. These are guide additions, not new visa rules or eligibility decisions.

RESIDENCE HELP

Read the local note alongside your own request

The residence directory now includes regional mission guidance for additional European and African residences. Examples include Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Luxembourg; the eight countries listed by Accra; and Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania through Nairobi. These are limited document and request-follow-up notes, not complete country guides or confirmation of a local collection centre. The homepage links directly to the directory, and exact country-code searches now take priority over partial-name matches. Choose your actual residence and travel passport in the planner; the two choices serve different purposes. Required documents and follow-up depend on your visa and any individual request.

SPANISH GUIDE CORRECTION

Read the first-462 education-source caution in Spanish

The Spanish Spain guide and its preparation record now include the source-difference warning already present in the English guidance. The difference between the Home Affairs web wording and the cited instrument remains unresolved; this change does not decide whether a qualification meets the requirement.

TRANSIT ITINERARY

Check the actual Dili-Darwin transfer arrangements

The transit guide now calls out the mission notice about immigration clearance and baggage recheck on Dili-Darwin connections. Confirm current arrangements with your airline. Transit without a visa does not cover entering through immigration; check any suitable existing visa and the official options for your actual journey.

POLICE CERTIFICATES

Match the record to the country and your actual request

The guide now has a six-country index: Canada, India, Pakistan, South Africa, the UK and the US. Examples distinguish RCMP certified records, ACRO certificates, FBI and state records, and residence/citizenship-specific issuing routes. Read each note’s scope and official source before ordering. Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man have explicitly police-only residence referrals through Home Affairs’ UK entry; these are not full local visa guides.

The private worksheet records issuer checks, appointments, originals/return arrangements, dispatch and request deadlines. Searching for PCC finds the worksheet, while PCC, RCMP, ACRO or FBI can find the relevant guide. A certificate is not automatically required for every applicant; follow your visa instructions and any individual request, including relevant former residence.

OFFICIAL FORMS AND PRIVATE WORKSHEETS

Find the document and its submission-route help

Free Templates now separately links current Home Affairs PDFs for Forms 1022, 1023 and 1229. Each entry explains its purpose and links to the relevant online/paper or child-consent guidance. The compact official-form section opens without JavaScript; a form-number search opens its context rather than sending you straight to an unexplained PDF. PNG PASSPORT · FIRST WORK AND HOLIDAY 462

Recheck the cap before lodging

Home Affairs listed Papua New Guinea open against 100 annual first-462 grants when checked on 14 October 2026. The guide, work plan and personalised text checklist now reflect that dated observation. Open status does not reserve a place or establish eligibility. The Department warns that changes may take up to 48 hours to appear in its table; check the live status before acting.

Medical-travel preparation, occupational-training starting checks, Spanish Spain guidance and a free editable worksheet ZIP are now available. Open the entry for current guide links, download scope and official sources; these tools do not establish visa eligibility.

MEDICAL TRAVEL · PREPARATION

OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING · STARTING CHECKS

BIOMETRICS · APP PREPARATION

Check the final submission screen

The scan instructions now correctly say to remove the cover or wallet from your mobile device. DOCUMENT PREPARATION

Tick off your preparation reminders

The checklist now lets you mark the existing before-application and after-submission reminders, see separate progress counts and clear either section. BIOMETRICS · LOCATION QUALIFIERS

HEALTH EXAMINATIONS · YOUR REFERRAL

Check the category and any recent examinations

The health guide now distinguishes permanent and provisional visa examinations from temporary visa requirements. It also explains that examinations in the last 12 months may reduce what needs repeating; your current referral lists the actual examinations required. The private appointment record now links back to this guidance.

YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENT · STARTING PLAN

Choose the document you will actually travel with

The planner now asks whether you use a citizen passport, another travel document or are unsure. The latter two choices lead to exact-document checks rather than a visa or visa-free transit suggestion based on the country alone. The free text download, print view and return link keep that choice. Check the current official requirements for your actual document before applying.

If you cannot truthfully select a citizenship, the nationality menu now has “Citizenship not identified / not applicable”. Use it with Other or Not sure to open neutral document checks. Searching for “stateless” finds that option; it does not assign a visa route. Country-guide forms and English/Spanish language links retain the choice. Available residence-service sources also appear in the plan and download, subject to your own request letter.

Returning in the same browser can restore your countries, document choice and trip purpose. Review them before continuing; use the planner’s clear control to remove saved choices. The Spain and Colombia Spanish guide links also retain valid document choices when opening the planner.

It also includes the separate vessel-work check and links to Forms 1399 and 1563 when requested. The editable records have matching coverage-period, vessel-history and supporting-file fields. AFTER SUBMISSION · IMMIACCOUNT

The application-correction guide now offers a two-page printable record alongside its editable prompt list. It helps you distinguish an original incorrect answer from a later change and keep evidence, notification dates and follow-up requests on your own device. QATAR RESIDENCE · APPLICATION CHANNEL

GUIDE SEARCH · ASK IN YOUR OWN WORDS

The guide-library search now handles question punctuation and common question words. Try “How do I correct a typo?”, “How much bank balance do I need?” or “8503 waiver” to find the relevant existing preparation guides. You can also look up Student work hours, medical examinations, police clearance, Visitor insurance condition 8501 and passport changes. Search stays in your browser; matching a guide does not assess your visa eligibility.

PRIVATE DOCUMENT TRACKER · REQUEST FOLLOW-UP

Keep dates and receipts beside your document status

The free CSV tracker now has blank fields for your actual request deadline, submission date and channel or receipt reference, alongside collection and translation status. COLOMBIA · ENGLISH AND SPANISH SUPPORT

HEALTH REQUEST · PRIVATE ORGANISATION

The processing-time guide and its text/PDF records now scope ordinary Messages and Actions required checks to applications managed in ImmiAccount. ETA 601 · AFTER APPLICATION

Check the app and your own request letter

Home Affairs says an ETA is lodged through the Australian ETA app, while an application lodged for another visa in ImmiAccount is managed there. The ETA app has a Visa check function. If your ETA needs more information, follow the specific link in the letter to the further-processing form; that is different from starting another ETA in ImmiAccount. The passport and residence planner now keeps this distinction across more local notes.

After-application steps → · ETA request details → · Home Affairs ETA 601 instructions

PASSPORT VALIDITY · BEFORE TRAVEL

Check the whole journey, not a universal six-month rule

The Australian Embassy in Tokyo says Australia requires a valid passport and visa at boarding and entry but sets no general minimum remaining passport validity. Airlines and countries you transit may have their own rules. We added that distinction to the pre-travel guide and private checklist, alongside the separate rule that an ETA ceases if its linked passport expires or is replaced.

VISITOR COVER · CONDITION 8501

Check a policy's own condition notice

Home Affairs' new adequate-health-insurance factsheet warns that some products say they do not satisfy condition 8501. The visitor insurance guide and private comparison sheet now ask you to read the exact product notice, check the conditions on your own grant and get written clarification from the insurer where needed. A health examination is a separate request.

7 OCTOBER 2026

Check Visitor conditions before grant

NO FURTHER STAY · CONDITION 8503

Compare stream conditions before you apply

Home Affairs says a Sponsored Family Visitor visa will carry condition 8503. For the overseas Tourist stream, it says a later onshore application depends on the conditions actually attached to the grant; the stream is no promise that 8503 will be absent. The staying-longer guide now answers the before-grant question without promising a condition-free visa: choose the stream that truthfully fits your purpose, then check the actual grant and VEVO record.

6 OCTOBER 2026

SPONSORED FAMILY 600 · BOND AND STAY

Record a bond request; keep 8503 and 8531 separate

Our Visitor stream comparison now links an editable and printable private bond record. Use it only with the Department's written request for the particular applicant. Official Form 1149 says waiving condition 8503 does not waive the Sponsored Family condition 8531; a sponsored visitor who stays beyond the permitted Visitor period can still expose the sponsor to consequences and possible bond forfeiture, even if a further visa is granted. Check the written grant and VEVO rather than estimating a safe departure date.

STUDENT 500 · FURTHER APPLICATION IN AUSTRALIA

Read the detailed exemption limits before changing courses

The registered LIN 26/087 instrument adds conditions behind Home Affairs' shorter onshore-exemption summary. A same-provider completion extension needs an already-started, unfinished principal course with the specified CoE timing; a provider default has enrolment, timing and previous-application tests; course progression is limited to no more than one further course with its AQF rules. The updated course guide and private worksheet help you identify what to verify. They do not decide whether your application will be valid.

VISA PROCESSING TIMES · PRIVATE RECORD

Record the tool settings and any actual request deadline

The new two-page printable record complements the editable waiting checklist. It keeps the subclass, stream, lookup date, displayed 50%/90% figures and ImmiAccount request deadline together. Home Affairs says the public tool describes recently decided applications and does not predict a decision on your file.

STUDENT 500 · OSHC FOR ONE TRAVELLER

Compare single cover before adding extra people or extras

A direct answer in the OSHC guide now helps a student applying and travelling alone compare single policies for the same arrival and proposed stay dates. It also points to the current Student family restrictions before anyone buys cover for a hoped-for later dependant. The Australian Government says the education provider's insurer recommendation is optional; compare the actual basic benefits, extra cover and likely gaps.

SPAIN RESIDENCE · ETA OR OTHER VISA

Follow the application channel for your chosen visa

The Spain residence follow-up and Spanish passport guide now distinguish the official Australian ETA app from ImmiAccount routes. The Madrid Embassy does not lodge visa applications; its advice to attach an explanation in ImmiAccount if biometrics cannot be provided applies to an application there, not a routine ETA app application. Use the live Home Affairs visa page and your own request letter.

5 OCTOBER 2026

BSB80120 restriction is now in effect

STUDENT 500 · CHECK YOUR PROVIDER RECORD

Confirm whether your GDML course had started

ASQA and Education say providers cannot newly enrol or commence overseas students in the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) from 5 October 2026. Students enrolled and already commenced before that date may continue. An unstarted GDML CoE is cancelled under the rule; another course in a package may still continue. Ask your provider in writing to confirm your actual commencement and CoE status, the remaining package, and any alternative course or unspent-fee option. Provider-default protections apply where a provider default actually occurs. A changed CoE does not itself decide your visa status, so check the grant and Home Affairs guidance separately.

BSB80120 course cancellation: questions for your provider

STUDENT 500 · COURSE CODE BSB80120

Keep your commencement and CoE records before the 5 October change

Education's student fact sheet says an overseas student who has not started the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) course cannot commence it from 5 October; the GDML CoE will be cancelled. A student already studying the course can continue. If GDML is one course in a package, ask the provider which other courses can continue and what replacement enrolment records are needed. Keep the course code, commencement date and provider messages. If your provider defaults on your enrolment, ask about its alternative-course or unspent-fee obligations; do not assume every change is a provider default or that a replacement course satisfies your visa conditions.

WORKING HOLIDAY 417 / WORK AND HOLIDAY 462

Planning a longer course after a working holiday?

Both subclasses appear on Home Affairs’ affected-visa list for the Student 500 application-location rule effective 2 October. If you hold a 417 or 462, you cannot lodge Student 500 while in Australia; you must be outside for the application and decision. We added the practical checks to our Working Holiday comparison so course plans account for the current grant, study limit, CoE and location before a deposit or travel booking.

VISA ROUTE STARTING POINTS

Compare purpose, passport and location before collecting documents

The visa-options hub now puts the four initial checks first and links directly to Working Holiday, work and family routes alongside visitor, student and transit options. It also points to the passport-and-residence planner and current Home Affairs visa pages. The hub does not assess an individual application.

STUDENT 500 · FAMILY AFTER GRANT

Check the rule before planning a partner’s later arrival

The Student family guide now answers the common question about a partner who was not included on the current grant. Home Affairs says there is no new Student subsequent-entrant route after grant under the 2 October rules. It also distinguishes family applications lodged before that date, narrow further-Student continuation cases and separate visas a partner may check for their own circumstances.

Read the direct answer → · Home Affairs family rule

TEMPORARY GRADUATE 485 · FAMILY

Use the 485 family rule for a graduate visa

Home Affairs' current pages for all three 485 streams still describe a subsequent-entrant application for eligible family after a 485 grant. The newer Student 500 after-grant restriction is a different visa rule. We added a direct comparison and links to each 485 stream's Include family instructions; check the live instructions and your own circumstances before applying.

STUDENT 500 · FINANCIAL EVIDENCE

Check family eligibility before using a subsequent-entrant document prompt

Home Affairs' general Student 500 document section still mentions financial evidence for subsequent entrants. Its new family rule says a current Student holder cannot add a new partner or child after grant under the 2 October rules, while earlier lodged applications follow their earlier rules. Our financial-capacity guide now puts that rule check next to the document list. We also rechecked the published living-cost and annual-income figures on 4 October; they were unchanged.

STUDENT 500 · APPLICATION LOCATION

Match a current Student course change to the official onshore criteria

The course-change guide and private worksheet now list Home Affairs' possible onshore exceptions for current primary Student visa holders, including a short same-provider course extension, qualifying course progression and provider default. They also explain the higher-education qualification and the separate offshore rule for a Student dependant becoming the primary applicant. Check the full criteria and visa expiry before enrolling or lodging; an offer or CoE does not by itself make an onshore application valid.

AIRPORT TRANSIT · PASSPORT LIST

Check your passport before relying on visa-free transit

The passport-and-residence planner's Transit path now checks the selected citizenship against Home Affairs' named-country TWOV list and flags the separate Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indian official and diplomatic-passport categories. Its private checklist repeats the caution. A named country alone is not a visa-free decision: the exact travel document, onward destination, eight-hour flight window and airside transfer must also fit. A New Zealand citizen selecting Transit now receives the connection checks, with a separate reminder to check SCV entry rules if immigration clearance is needed. STUDENT PROVIDER TRANSFERS

Check the temporary 12-month restriction before moving providers

Education's 2 October amendment generally requires non-school overseas students to complete 12 months of their principal course before transferring to another provider, subject to exceptions. The period returns to six months on 1 July 2027. The course-change guide and private checklist now separate this provider rule from Student visa condition 8202. Ask your current provider how the rule applies to your dates before withdrawing.

NEW PASSPORT AND VISA

Start with ImmiAccount, the web-form exceptions or a new ETA

The passport-change guide now opens with a quick route table and section links. It separates pending applications and existing visas from the ETA 601 rule and lists the web-form exceptions. A free, one-page PDF helps you record your route and follow-up without sending passport details to us. Read the live Home Affairs instructions before sending personal details.

VISITOR HEALTH COVER

Separate condition 8501, recommended cover and medical exams

The Visitor insurance guide now opens with a three-route summary. A Visitor 600 grant does not automatically carry condition 8501; check the actual grant. Home Affairs strongly recommends cover for visitors without Medicare, while a health-examination request is a separate step. Compare any policy against the traveller's own needs and the written visa conditions.

STUDENT DOCUMENT TOOL

Record the result for your passport and provider

Our Student guides now walk through the official passport, education-provider and special-category controls. Complete the official reCAPTCHA and use Display evidence before treating a list as your result. A new private text record helps you compare that result with ImmiAccount and check it again before submission. The tool may change on its routine 30 September update; we do not infer a new personal requirement from the date alone.

VIETNAM FIRST-462 BALLOT

Check the 29 September selection round in your own account

Home Affairs now lists a second Vietnam random-selection round on 29 September. A round date does not mean a particular registrant was selected. Our Vietnam guide directs existing registrants to their registered email and ImmiAccount for their own notification and application deadline.

Read the Vietnam ballot steps → · Current Home Affairs ballot table

WORKING HOLIDAY PROCESSING

Read the category median alongside the offshore warning

Home Affairs says onshore Working Holiday Maker applications are prioritised and some offshore applications may take substantially longer than its broad category median. The processing guide explains how to check an exact subclass and keeps first-462 ballot selection separate from visa processing after lodgement.

FIRST-462 EDUCATION SOURCES

Clarify the Czech, PNG or Spanish evidence difference

The current instrument specifies two years of study for these passports, while the Home Affairs web table includes them in a broader shared row. The country lookup and relevant preparation records now show the difference and link both sources; they do not decide whether a shorter qualification meets the requirement.

Read the country evidence checks → · Current section 9 and Schedule 1

SWISS FIRST-462 EVIDENCE

Find the current government-support exemption

The selected Swiss passport result and country checklist now link section 8 of the current instrument, which exempts valid Swiss passport holders from government-support evidence. Other visa criteria, cap status and application instructions still apply.

FIRST-462 ENGLISH EVIDENCE

Check the test date even when the score is higher

The passport-country lookup adds study and test evidence help, selected current score references and a private planning record. It explains the first-462 12-month rule, secure-centre testing and the TOEFL Australia pathway.

Read the Functional English help → · Current first-462 English rules

VISITOR TRAVEL HISTORY

Check earlier visits against the actual total-stay condition

The entries-and-stay guide adds current condition 8573 instructions, links to official movement records and a private arrival/departure record. It distinguishes the separate parent 12-in-18-month rule and gives no safe-stay date or compliance result.

STUDENT DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Find the correct provider or missing-provider option

The Student overview, English and funds guides now explain the official provider-registration delay, the not-listed option and the principal final provider for packaged courses. Recheck the live tool before lodging, including after its routine 30 September update.

Read the provider checklist help → · Current tool disclaimer

A BABY BORN AFTER APPLYING

Check citizenship, visa dates and the correct notification channel

A new guide separates Australian and overseas births, pending applications and granted visas. It links the specialist newborn form and Partner follow-up, corrects the SCV newborn citizenship distinction, and provides a private record for documents and submission receipts.

Read the newborn guide → · Current Home Affairs newborn tool

STUDENT FINANCIAL CAPACITY

Add a private cost plan with explicit unknowns

The funds guide now offers a browser calculator for joint applications, using current living references, pro-rata periods, supported tuition payments and a checked school-cost amount. It keeps missing costs visible and saves a private text summary. A planning total is not a required bank balance or an evidence decision.

Use the private cost tool → · Current Student funds instructions

LATER WORKING HOLIDAY VISAS

Keep later ballots separate from first-462 dates

The comparison now explains the announced year-two and year-three ballot rollout alongside the current later-visa pages and expected processing notice. It gives no unannounced registration date, selection chance or individual decision deadline.

Read the later-visa policy watch → · Current second-462 instructions

VISITOR CONDITIONS

Read the September No Further Stay policy carefully

The existing 8503 guide now distinguishes the announced progressive rollout from a person’s actual grant. It adds current waiver evidence and translation instructions, individual request steps and a private preparation record. A request is not permission to remain after visa expiry.

Read the policy and waiver checks → · Home Affairs policy rollout

SPANISH PASSPORTS

Spain’s first Work and Holiday cap is listed open

Home Affairs’ cap table now lists Spain open, against an annual first-visa grant cap of 3,400. The passport guide, work plan and downloaded checklist reflect this dated change. Status can change and published updates may lag up to 48 hours; an open cap does not reserve a place or establish eligibility.

PERMANENT-RESIDENT TRAVEL

Check the facility against your return date

The pre-travel guide now explains selected permanent-resident travel checks, the need for an RRV grant where required and why a Visitor visa or ETA is not a replacement. The private text record adds a separate return-date check for each traveller.

Read the permanent-return checks → · Current Home Affairs travel rules

IRAN ENGLISH TEST SERVICES

Read the provider’s residence rules alongside visa test rules

The English guide and study plans for Iran residence now explain the current ETS registration restriction and the Home Affairs dated notice. A trip abroad alone does not resolve ETS’s stated ordinary-residence restriction.

Read the test-services notice → · Current ETS provider FAQ

SPONSORED PARENTS

Check the sponsor approval, costs and insurance first

The parents guide now explains selected 870 steps, the offshore and specifically approved onshore application windows, both charge instalments and the Australian-provider health-cover requirement. A private record helps organise dates and questions.

Read the Sponsored Parent steps → · Official 870 sponsor and applicant rules

PERSONAL HISTORY FORMS

Use each form question's actual history period

The character guide now compares selected Form 80 and Form 1221 questions, including full employment history and different address and travel periods. It links the current official PDFs and an original private preparation record.

IMMIACCOUNT HELP

The upload, fees and after-application guides now explain subclass-specific attachment forms, the one-use information-provided button and payment support. A private issue log helps record errors and follow-up.

STUDENT WORK HOURS

Compare adjacent weeks without uploading a work record

The Student guide now has a four-week arithmetic tool and a private log. It highlights overlapping fortnight totals and missing weeks. Read the visa-condition guidance beside the tool for your own work-permission check.
